Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) - A WAN that thinks it's a LAN

From November 2008 to October 2009 we're running WAN problem-solving workshops in association with Alcatel-Lucent. The workshops have been specifically designed to demonstrate how deploying Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) in the WAN can bring significant benefits to your business.

The events will be held as follows:

  • Reading: 20th November 2008 (finished)
  • London 22nd January 2009 (finished)
  • London 19th March 2009 (finished)
  • London 18th June 2009(finished)
  • London 13th October 2009

The presentations will show how it's possible to remove costly complexity and network duplication inherent in most legacy WANs. Presenters will talk you through the options for centrally hosting services across a single high-speed Ethernet platform and you can also book a private meeting with our senior WAN Architects for a one-to-one discussion regarding your specific WAN challenges.

Each event starts with a welcome breakfast at 9am, and finishes with lunch at 12:30.

Lunch will be followed by the one to one WAN planning workshops for which you can book at the point of online registration.
